Beyond, Beyond - Week 4 - Inside Out

Our assignment for Week 4 was to find something in the house and bring it outside to photograph.

I decided to take one of the flowers my dad brought over for Valentine's Day outside in a vase. Of course, as soon as I got set up outside it started to snow like crazy. The snow does look kind of pretty on the red petals of the flower.

I love how you composed this shot! The contrast (which I've been working on the last few days) is terrific -- the white snow against the bright red, the lines of the petals next to the shapes of the yarn. Just lovely!

At first I thought you had made a heart out of a sweater and thought that was toooooo cool. Maybe next year, (I'll be looking for old sweaters in the mean time) wonderful shot with the snow. how perfect.
